Fall Wedding · JBLM, WA
Sarah & Marcus
JBLM Officers' Club · September 30, 2025
Sarah and Marcus had three weeks' notice on Marcus's deployment date. They moved the wedding up, cut the guest list to family, and JBLM's Officers' Club somehow had a Saturday open. We shot it 18 days after they called.
Getting ready was on-base. Marcus in dress blues, Sarah in her mother's altered gown. The flag in the corner of every detail shot.
Ceremony ran 45 minutes long. We pivoted family formals to the chapel side garden so we wouldn't lose the light, and Marcus's unit pulled off a saber arch that came out crisper than any choreographed pose.
Sunset hit at 6:48pm. We had 22 minutes for couples portraits behind the chapel. Sarah cried on the walk back to the reception and Marcus said it was the first time the day had felt real.
Reception was short, intentional, and full of toasts. We left the gallery in the car at 10pm, Marcus deployed 11 days later, and the sneak peek shipped in 48 hours so Sarah had something to send him on day one downrange.
