Devon & Riley

Getting ready was at Hotel Murano with city light bouncing through floor-to-ceiling windows. We shot details on the bed, dress on the window, and rings on a piece of driftwood Riley had brought from their first date at Owen Beach.

Ceremony was 5pm at the Environmental Services Building lawn — Olympic Mountains behind, Sound below, and a breeze just strong enough to keep Devon's veil moving in every frame.

We took the couple down to the dunes for portraits at 7pm. The light was the soft, side-raking kind that makes Chambers Bay look like a Scottish links course. We shot two looks, one stationary, one walking through the fairway grass, and called it done in 25 minutes.

Reception in the lodge was quiet and lit by the bay. Last dance was at 10:30pm to Stevie Nicks, and we drove home with the windows down.
